The dark malt backbone offers deep notes of roasted cocoa and subtle caramel, while the lactose provides a creamy, luscious sweetness that dominates the palate. Despite its comforting, confectionery-driven aroma, the 10.5% alcohol provides a significant, well-integrated warmth. It is a rich, dessert-forward beer that balances intense dark grain character with a velvety, chocolate-driven finish.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely sweet and chocolate-forward. Flavors of cocoa nibs and sweetened cream lead into a mid-palate of dark roasted grains and toasted bread. Bitterness is moderate but perceives as lower due to the high residual sugars and lactose. The finish is long and lingering, characterized by a syrupy chocolate aftertaste and a gentle alcoholic glow.
Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a thick, chewy, and syrupy texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. High creaminess is present from the lactose, accompanied by a smooth, noticeable alcohol warmth that is not harsh or solventy.
