BROFAKTURA Lokalsi
This collaborative German Pils is a sensory exploration of modern Polish ingredients, featuring a clean, crisp profile driven by Nürnberger German Lager yeast. The aroma and flavor are defined by a bold, contemporary hop profile from Zi-1 and 2/20 varieties, which contribute distinct citrus-resinous notes alongside hints of white fruit and a sharp, kerosene-like edge. While traditional in its dry finish, the addition of experimental malted Sprau lends the beer a uniquely fuller, more rounded body than a standard pilsner. Brilliantly clear and assertively bitter, it balances innovative hop character with a solid, grainy malt foundation.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3 SRM); brilliant clarity; large, creamy white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop character featuring citrus zest, pine resin, and subtle white grape with a distinct kerosene note. Low grainy-sweet and cracker-like malt presence. Clean fermentation profile with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial light grainy-sweet malt flavor is rapidly overtaken by a firm, clean hop bitterness. Hop flavors include citrus peel and resinous spice, supported by a hint of white fruit. The finish is crisp and very dry with a lingering, pleasant bitterness and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body, providing a slightly fuller sensation than typical examples; high carbonation; crisp and snappy with a smooth texture and no perceived alcohol warmth.
