This refreshing Berliner Weisse, crafted in collaboration with Karls, offers a sensory journey through a Berlin summer. It features a bright, clean lactic sourness that provides a sharp, mouth-watering start. The addition of fresh strawberries imparts an intense, jammy fruit character that weaves through the light, doughy wheat malt profile. While the acidity remains dominant, the strawberry essence adds a perceived roundness and a subtle floral lift. Highly effervescent and light-bodied, the experience concludes with a bone-dry finish and a lingering tart berry snap. This profile perfectly balances the traditional sour wheat base with vibrant, sun-ripened fruit.

Appearance. Straw-colored with a soft pinkish glow (2-4 SRM), exhibiting a slight haze. It produces a large, white, frothy head with poor retention and high effervescence.

Aroma. High intensity lactic sourness leads the profile, accompanied by a dominant aroma of fresh, jammy strawberries. Subtle notes of raw wheat and sourdough bread dough are present, with no hop aroma.

Taste. A clean, sharp lactic acidity defines the initial impression. Pronounced flavors of ripe strawberry follow, supported by a grainy, bready wheat malt character. Bitterness is undetectable, and the balance is firmly towards the sour fruit. The finish is very dry and crisp.

Mouthfeel. Light body but never thin, featuring very high carbonation that provides a prickly sensation. There is no alcohol warmth, resulting in a crisp and refreshing acidity.
