This New England style Double IPA is a vibrant sensory experience defined by its intense tropical and stone fruit character. The combination of Huell Melon and Cashmere Cryo hops creates a lush aromatic layer of cantaloupe and soft peach. The addition of the experimental hop HBC 586 elevates the profile with a multi-faceted medley of ripe mango, fresh pink guava, and sweet strawberries. Underpinned by a soft, pillowy malt backbone, the palate transitions into bright tangerine notes and a smooth, restrained bitterness. It is a modern, juice-forward interpretation of a Double IPA that balances high alcohol strength with a velvety, fruit-saturated finish.
Appearance. Hazy, opaque straw to deep gold (5-7 SRM). Topped by a thick, persistent, creamy white head that leaves dense, sticky lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring an expansive fruit medley. Dominant notes of ripe mango, fresh pink guava, and cantaloupe are layered over subtle strawberry and peach esters. Very low, bready malt in the background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit nectar—mango and guava—supported by the soft, melon-like character of Huell Melon and Cashmere Cryo. Mid-palate introduces tangerine citrus and a hint of berry. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, balancing the soft malt sweetness without being harsh. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering fruity resonance and well-integrated alcohol.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. A smooth, restrained alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its strength, but lacks any harshness or astringency.
