Bristol Beer Factory’s Vienna Flight reimagines the American IPA by anchoring aggressive West Coast hops against a rich, heritage-driven malt foundation. A substantial blend of Maris Otter and Vienna malts creates a sturdy, biscuit-forward base with a distinct touch of caramelized sweetness that softens the hop bite. Overlaid on this copper-hued platform, Simcoe and Amarillo hops unleash a vibrant sensory boost, delivering intense grapefruit and citrus zest aromas. The result is a balanced yet assertive profile where the toasted, bready grain notes of the malts perfectly cradle the resinous, fruit-forward intensity of the classic American hop duo.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (10-12 SRM); brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, off-white head that shows good persistence and light lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, orange zest, and light pine resin. A supportive, medium-low malt character provides notes of toasted biscuit and subtle caramel sweetness. Fermentation profile is very clean.

Taste. Initial impression is a punch of citrus and resinous hop flavor followed by a significant bready, biscuit-like malt presence. Moderate-high bitterness is firm but not harsh, balanced by the light caramelized sweetness of the Vienna malt. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering grapefruit peel and toasted grain aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. No astringency or significant alcohol warmth.
