This Gose pours with a vibrant tropical energy, led by a mountain of passionfruit and soft guava. The aroma is a bright, perky burst of exotic fruit layered over a clean lactic tartness and a whisper of citrusy coriander. On the palate, the doughy Pilsner and wheat malt provide a delicate base for the sharp acidity. A distinct mineral character from the high salt content provides a mouthwatering, tingly sensation that perfectly balances the tropical sweetness. It finishes exceptionally dry and refreshing, making this light-bodied sour an effervescent, bright companion for any season.
Appearance. SRM 3-4. Pale yellow color with a moderate to full haze. Features a tall, white, effervescent head with tight bubbles and fair retention.
Aroma. High intensity of tropical passionfruit and guava. Underlying notes of bready wheat and a light, citrusy coriander spice. Clean, sharp lactic acidity with no hop aroma or fermentation byproducts.
Taste. Initial impression of sharp, medium-high sourness balanced by a massive tropical fruit profile of passionfruit and guava. A moderate doughy malt flavor provides support. Light but noticeable salt character creates a savory, mineral edge. Very low bitterness with no hop flavor. Finishes very dry, clean, and acidic.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with very high, effervescent carbonation. The salt content adds a tingly, mouthwatering quality and a slightly rounded texture despite the thinning effect of the acidity. No alcohol warmth.
