Brewtiful Brewery Hoppy Ghost
This Hazy IPA presents a vibrant sensory experience defined by its intensive double dry-hopping regimen. Powerful aromas of bright tangerine and ripe stone fruit emerge immediately, driven by the generous use of Citra and El Dorado hops. A unique tropical complexity from Sabro adds nuances of soft coconut and a hint of creaminess to the profile. The palate is greeted by a wave of succulent tropical fruit and citrus oils, supported by a subtle, bready malt backbone. With its round and slightly sweet mouthfeel, the beer offers a smooth, juicy finish that balances intense hop saturation against a restrained bitterness, characteristic of the style’s soft, approachable nature.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (SRM 4-6) with a distinctive opaque haze providing a healthy shine. It is topped by a dense, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and persistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of tangerine, peach, and tropical coconut. Malt character remains in the background as neutral, lightly bready, and grainy-sweet notes. Esters are fruity and well-integrated with the hop-derived oils.
Taste. Initial impression is exceptionally fruit-forward with high citrus, stone fruit, and tropical flavors. Malt flavor is low and bready, serving to support the hop profile. Bitterness is medium-low and very soft, never harsh. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering juicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, round, and plush texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle, with no hop-derived astringency or harshness.
