Brewski’s Kangoose is a robust West Coast IPA that balances classic citrus intensity with a surprisingly deep malt foundation. At 7% ABV, it presents a punchy profile of vibrant grapefruit and fresh citrus peel, layered over a darker malt base that contributes distinct notes of rich caramel. The hop character leans heavily into the forest, with assertive pine resin and sharp pine needle accents providing a bracing, resinous depth. A long, clean finish ensures the firm bitterness lingers pleasantly, showcasing a traditional West Coast structure where the hop-forward aggression is expertly supported by toasted malt complexity.

Appearance. Pours a clear, light reddish-amber (approx. 12 SRM) with a dense, creamy off-white head that demonstrates excellent persistence and leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by fresh grapefruit and resinous pine. A background of toasted caramel malt provides a sweet, supportive counterpoint to the sharp citrus and needle-like aromatics, maintaining a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Intensely hoppy with immediate flavors of grapefruit zest and resinous pine. The darker malt base offers a medium-low caramel sweetness that balances the firm, high bitterness characteristic of the style. The finish is long and dry, leaving a lingering aftertaste of citrus peel and forest floor with no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the hop resins. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp bite, accompanied by a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth that complements the finish.
