This potent American IPA, presenting with the intensity of a Double IPA, is a showcase for the vibrant aromatics of the Southern Hemisphere. A high intensity of fresh lime zest and mojito-like citrus from Motueka hops leads the sensory profile, immediately followed by the pungent, tropical punch of passionfruit and crushed pink grapefruit characteristic of Riwaka. A lean, crackery malt base provides essential support to the firm bitterness without adding sweetness. The finish is notably dry and crisp, leaving a lingering resinous and tropical trail that highlights the unique, zesty character and aromatic depth of these premium New Zealand hop varieties.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (7-9 SRM). Features a thick, persistent white head with excellent lacing and a clear to slightly hazy presentation.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of lime, passionfruit, and grapefruit. Very low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral backdrop. Fermentation is clean with very light tropical esters and a subtle hint of well-integrated alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and bright. Assertive flavors of tropical fruit and citrus zest are balanced by a low, grainy malt character. Medium-high to high bitterness provides a firm structure. The finish is medium-dry to dry with a clean, lingering hoppy aftertaste and a touch of smooth alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly resinous texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. A light, smooth warmth from the higher alcohol content is present but lacks any harshness.
