Intense aromatics of fresh Strawberry, earthy Blueberry, and tart Boysenberry lead into a palate enriched by aging in a Tom Cat Gin barrel. The barrel contributes subtle notes of juniper, spruce, and toasted oak that intertwine with a rich honey base. At 14% ABV, the warmth is significant but well-integrated, providing a velvety backbone to the vibrant berry character. It is a decadent, complex expression of fruit and spirit-barrel aging, finishing with a lingering, jammy sweetness and a touch of gin-derived spice.
Appearance. Deep ruby to dark purple; brilliant clarity despite heavy fruit; no foam or lacing; high viscosity with prominent legs.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant jammy fruit aromas of sweet strawberry and dark boysenberry; moderate honey floral notes; distinct gin-barrel character with hints of juniper, coriander, and light oak tannins; no malt or hop character.
Taste. Initial burst of tart blueberry and sweet strawberry; mid-palate reveals complex boysenberry depth and honeyed sweetness; balanced by moderate acidity and light gin-derived spice; barrel aging adds subtle vanilla and botanical notes; long, fruit-forward finish with no bitterness.
