This Double IPA showcases the vibrant, verdant character of fresh Polish wet hops, specifically the Zula and Książęcy varieties. The Zula hops contribute layers of tropical mango and bright citrus, while the Książęcy adds a sophisticated herbal and floral depth. Brewed with oats for a creamy, luscious texture, the beer balances its significant strength with a silky mouthfeel that tempers the potent bitterness. A light sweetness from the oat cream influence supports the intense hop oils, resulting in a complex profile of resinous pine, fresh-cut grass, and stone fruit that lingers elegantly on the palate.
Appearance. Gold to light orange with a significant, persistent, white creamy head. High protein haze from the oats provides a modern, opaque appearance rather than the traditional clarity of the style.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring fresh-cut grass and resinous pine from the wet hops, layered with Zula-derived mango and grapefruit. A supporting clean, neutral maltiness is present, alongside very light fruity esters and a clean, smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. Strong hop flavors dominate, emphasizing green tea, herbal spice, and citrus. High bitterness is present but softened by the oat additions. A clean, soft malt character provides the backbone. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, resinous, and fresh hop aftertaste that avoids harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable silkiness and creaminess from the oats. Carbonation is moderate. A smooth, restrained alcohol warmth is present, without any hop-derived astringency.

Do tego piwa użyliśmy odmian EXP 2/20 i Zula. Piwo chmieliliśmy wyłącznie na gorąco – 35 g/l świeżej szyszki.
