BrewDog USA Hazy Jane Pineapple
This Hazy IPA presents a punchy tropical profile centered on vibrant, sun-ripened pineapple. Building upon the base of the flagship Hazy Jane, the addition of fruit enhances the naturally succulent hop character. Expect a bouquet of crushed pineapple, citrus zest, and soft mango notes. The malt provides a bready, doughy foundation that supports the juicy fruit without adding cloying sweetness. It finishes with a smooth, velvety texture and a restrained bitterness that allows the pineapple to linger, creating a refreshment-forward experience that highlights the interplay between tropical hops and real fruit essence.
Appearance. Light orange (5-7 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a luminous shine. Topped by a dense, rocky, white meringue-like head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant notes of fresh-cut pineapple and tropical fruit punch. Subtle citrus undertones of orange and grapefruit. Background malt is neutral, lightly bready and grainy. Esters are fruity and well-integrated with the hop-derived aromatics.
Taste. Assertive pineapple flavor leads, followed by mango and citrus pith. Malt flavor is low to medium, reminiscent of fresh bread or oats. Bitterness is low to moderate, providing just enough structure to balance the fruitiness without being sharp. The finish is medium-dry and smooth, featuring a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle. Devoid of astringency or harsh hop burn.
