This non-alcoholic American Lager offers a whimsical sensory departure from the traditional neutral profile by incorporating a distinct marshmallow character. The experience begins with a pillowy, confectionary sweetness that layers vanilla-like notes over a very pale, grainy malt base. Despite the lack of alcohol, the beer maintains the refreshing qualities of the style, featuring high carbonation and a crisp finish that prevents the marshmallow addition from becoming heavy. It balances a soft, rounded sweetness with a clean fermentation profile, delivering a unique, light-bodied beverage that remains approachable and thirst-quenching while highlighting its specialty adjuncts.
Appearance. Pale straw (2-3 SRM). White, frothy head with moderate retention and light lacing. Brilliant clarity.
Aroma. Low intensity. Clean, grainy-sweet malt character is secondary to prominent notes of marshmallow and subtle vanilla. Very low floral hop aroma. Fermentation is clean with no esters or phenols.
Taste. Initial impression of soft marshmallow sweetness followed by a light, cracker-like malt flavor. Low herbal hop flavor and low bitterness (approx. 10 IBU). The balance is slightly sweet due to the marshmallow, but it transitions into a crisp, dry, and clean finish with no lingering harshness.
Mouthfeel. Low body with a subtle, smooth creaminess from the marshmallow. High carbonation provides a refreshing carbonic bite. No alcohol warmth is perceived.
