This Foreign Extra Stout presents a rich, multifaceted profile defined by its Caribbean-inspired additions. A foundation of five specialty malts creates a decadent base reminiscent of indulgent chocolate brownies and espresso. Infusions of rum and oak chips introduce sophisticated layers of dark sugar and aromatic vanilla. On the palate, the roast character is balanced by ripe forest berries and a notable boozy warmth from the 7.4% ABV. It offers a full-bodied, velvety experience that marries traditional British roast intensity with the complexity of barrel-influenced spirit notes, finishing with a lingering, dark-roasted sweetness and a hint of charred oak.
Appearance. Opaque, very deep brown to near-black. Features a large, dense tan head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity roast with dominant notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Prominent vanilla and sweet dark rum aromatics are present alongside moderate dark fruit esters resembling ripe forest berries. Very low earthy hop aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is rich and indulgent with flavors of chocolate brownies and strong coffee. High roast bitterness is balanced by medium-low dark fruit esters. Distinctive dark rum and toasted oak flavors persist throughout. Bitterness is medium-high but softened by the malt richness. The finish is moderately dry with a lingering espresso and spirit-driven aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied with a smooth, creamy, and viscous texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a noticeable and pleasant alcohol warmth that is well-integrated.

Una birra dalla bevuta ricca ed avvolgente, che scalda il palato caratterizzata all'assaggio da forti note di Rum scuro, sentori di bosco e brownies al cioccolato.
