This Double IPA is a high-velocity sensory experience, showcasing a heavy-hitting hop trio of Citra, Mosaic, and Talus. The aroma is a vivid display of pink grapefruit and zesty orange, layered with an intriguing coconut creaminess and hints of tropical berry. On the palate, the hop intensity remains dominant, offering waves of juicy citrus and a resinous undercurrent supported by a clean, lean malt profile. It finishes dry and crisp with a firm, lingering bitterness that balances its 8% strength. The result is a vibrant, modern take on the style that emphasizes hop saturation over malt weight.
Appearance. 7–9 SRM. Deep gold to light orange with a slight haze from the heavy double dry-hopping. Features a dense, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop character featuring dominant citrus notes of grapefruit and orange zest, intertwined with tropical mango and berry. A distinct secondary layer of coconut and dried sage emerges alongside very low, neutral grainy malt and a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of citrus and tropical fruit. Strong grapefruit and juicy orange flavors lead into a unique coconut and pine mid-palate. High bitterness is firm but clean. Malt is supportive and neutral, providing a soft background. The finish is dry and lingering with a citrus-rind aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate-high carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a gentle glow without being solventy or hot.
