This massive Imperial Stout pours with the density of dark matter, offering a complex sensory journey fueled by its staggering 15.1% ABV. The aroma is a powerful melange of Rio Caribe cocoa nibs, Sertao Carmo de Minas coffee, and a distinct molasses sweetness with brandy-like depth. On the palate, a thick backbone of Dark Crystal and Carafa malts supports intense dark chocolate flavors, while Rye provides a spicy counterpoint. The hop profile—featuring Chinook, Cascade, and Fuggles—delivers a spicy bitterness that intermingles with the slow, creeping heat of naga chilli. It is a velvety, luxurious experience, reminiscent of sipping cognac in a leather armchair.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (40+ SRM) with a dense, deep tan head. High viscosity is evident through prominent legs on the glass.

Aroma. Intense aroma of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and black treacle. Moderate dark fruit esters like plum and raisin are joined by a spicy, resinous hop character and a distinct, sharp tingle of chili. Significant but smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Rich and complex; initial flavors of chewy molasses and bittersweet chocolate give way to a heavy roast and espresso-like bitterness. A spicy hop presence and the creeping heat of naga chilli provide a sharp contrast to the sweet malt. The finish is long and warming with a lingering rye spice.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied and exceptionally chewy. The addition of wheat and flaked oats creates a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low-moderate, and a powerful, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being harsh.
