Custom Shop is a bold Double IPA that bridges the gap between resinous strength and the pillowy softness of New World brewing. Utilizing a hefty malt bill of oats and wheat, this 8% ABV ale pours with a characteristic haze and a velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel. The sensory experience is dominated by Southern Hemisphere hop varieties, erupting with a vibrant fruit-frenzy of juicy pineapple, sharp gooseberry, and exotic passionfruit. The palate transitions from zesty citrus into nuanced summer berries, anchored by a structural hint of pine. It finishes with a clean, well-integrated alcohol warmth that complements its intense, tropical hop saturation.

Appearance. Gold to light orange (SRM 6-9). Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with dense lacing. Clarity is hazy to opaque due to the heavy use of oats and wheat.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma with a prominent fruit-frenzy of pineapple, passionfruit, and gooseberry. Supporting notes of zesty citrus, summer berries, and a touch of resinous pine. Malt is low and grainy-sweet, while the fermentation profile remains clean with a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a surge of tropical fruit including pineapple and passionfruit, followed by zesty citrus and berry flavors. Moderately high hop bitterness is present but remains smooth rather than harsh. A soft, supportive malt character from oats and wheat provides balance. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, resinous pine and tropical aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture derived from the oat and wheat additions. Carbonation is moderate to high. A noticeable but well-restrained alcohol warmth is present, without any hop-derived astringency.
