This Black IPA bridges the gap between resinous intensity and roasted depth. On the tongue, the hop profile shifts toward herbal and citrus notes, meeting a firm, resonating bitterness that lingers long into the dry finish. It is a bold, modern interpretation that balances its shadowy malt complexity with the bright, aggressive character of a high-ABV IPA.

Appearance. Dark brown to opaque black (35-40 SRM). Clear when held to light, topped with a persistent, light tan head that leaves moderate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pithy grapefruit and dank pine resin. Low to moderate malt character suggests toasted bread, dark chocolate, and a hint of roasted coffee. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.

Taste. Initial citrus and herbal hop flavors are followed by a robust, medium-high bitterness. The malt profile is restrained, providing supportive notes of dark chocolate and light coffee without burnt or ashy harshness. Finishes dry and bitter with a lingering resinous aftertaste.
