A 'three coffee rye imperial porter', made with espresso in the mash, cafetiere in the boil and whole roast beans in the whirlpool and fermenter. Coffee notes, subtle fruitiness, dense chocolate-y notes and classic coffee bitter hints throughout, all delivered on waves and waves of velvet richness. Delivery and Pickup Pick up at Urban Brewing during our opening times (free). Our Abstrakt journey continues with AB:17; a three-coffee rye imperial porter. Big chocolately roasty malts, spicy rye, and more coffee than Twin Peaks – we’ve added espresso in the mash, cafetiere in the boil, and whole bean in the whirlpool and the FV. Courtesy of Has Bean, we’ve got a rich mix of spicy, bitter and heady coffee flavours mixing with the vanilla pods we threw in for good measure. AB:17 is in the final days of maturation and is almost ready for bottling. It is tasting incredibly smooth and decadent. A perfect winter beer?
