Yellow Haze Session is a bright, highly approachable American Pale Ale designed for maximum drinkability at a sessionable 4.3% ABV. True to its name, it presents a sunny, hazy profile bursting with vibrant aromas of grapefruit, crushed pineapple, and subtle pine. The sensory experience is defined by a refreshing lightness, where soft, grainy malts provide a delicate canvas for modern hop varieties to shine. A crisp, moderate bitterness balances the tropical fruit esters, leading into a dry, clean finish that invites another sip. It captures the essence of a full-strength pale ale in a leaner, more refreshing frame.
Appearance. 3–5 SRM. Hazy, straw to pale golden yellow. Large, frothy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring notes of lemon zest, mango, and passion fruit. Supporting malt is low and neutral, reminiscent of fresh crackers. Clean fermentation with very low pear-like esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward flavors of citrus and melon. Low grainy malt sweetness quickly gives way to a moderate hop bitterness. The balance is firmly hop-centric but not harsh. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering note of citrus peel.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing prickle on the tongue. Smooth texture with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
