This flagship American IPA showcases a masterful use of hops to produce an intense sensory profile of ripe stone fruit and fuzzy peach without the addition of actual fruit. A brilliant gold pour with a persistent white head leads into an aroma dominated by high-intensity notes of apricot and citrus, supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone. On the palate, the hop-forward character delivers layers of peach and resinous pine, balanced by a firm bitterness. The finish is notably dry and crisp, typical of the style, leaving a lingering, pleasant hoppy aftertaste that invites another sip and emphasizes its clean fermentation.
Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber (approx. 8 SRM) with brilliant clarity and a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves decorative lacing.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent stone fruit (peach, apricot) and citrus (grapefruit) notes. A low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a supportive base without caramel interference, complemented by a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of stone fruit and tropical hop flavors. Low grainy malt sweetness quickly gives way to a firm, medium-high bitterness. The balance is decidedly hop-forward, leading to a dry finish with a lingering hoppy and clean aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp sensation without any harshness or astringency. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
