This Double IPA represents a modern West Coast approach, emphasizing a clean, unfiltered clarity of flavor over excessive sweetness. An intense aromatic profile driven by Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra hops offers layers of resinous pine, tropical berries, and bright grapefruit, while Riwaka extract adds a distinct punch of passion fruit. At 8% ABV, the alcohol is well-integrated into a substantial but dry body, supported by a classic West Coast yeast strain. It delivers a firm, pleasant bitterness that lingers cleanly, showcasing a sophisticated balance between modern hop saturation and traditional dry finishing qualities.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7–9 SRM). Persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing. Though described as unfiltered, it maintains a slight haze rather than opacity.

Aroma. High intensity hop bouquet. Initial hits of pine and resin from Simcoe lead into Mosaic’s complex tropical fruit and berry notes. Citra and Riwaka provide a sharp citrus edge of grapefruit and lime. Malt is a neutral, grainy background.

Taste. Dominated by complex hop flavors including tropical fruit, citrus zest, and damp pine. Bitterness is high but smooth, providing a structured backbone. Malt presence is minimal, offering just enough cracker-like support before a very dry, crisp finish with a long-lasting hop-derived aftertaste.
