Better Before is a polished American Pale Ale that exemplifies a modern, hop-forward profile with exceptional drinkability. It pours a radiant pale golden hue, releasing a vibrant bouquet of zestful citrus, ripe tropical mango, and a delicate touch of resinous pine. The malt backbone remains clean and supportive, offering subtle notes of fresh bread and biscuit that allow the American hops to take center stage. On the palate, a crisp, moderate bitterness integrates seamlessly with flavors of grapefruit and melon, leading to a dry, refreshing finish. This transition from experimental series to permanent staple showcases a masterfully balanced sensory experience.

Appearance. Pale golden color (6 SRM). Large, persistent white head with excellent lacing and retention. Generally clear with a very faint, modern chill haze.

Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring tropical fruit, citrus zest, and a hint of floral spice. Low neutral maltiness provides a bready background. Clean fermentation with no notable esters.

Taste. Prominent hop flavors of grapefruit and stone fruit with a supportive, crackery malt base. Bitterness is moderate and well-balanced, neither harsh nor lingering excessively. Finishes medium-dry and very clean with a citrus-tinged aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate. No alcohol warmth or astringency present.
