Energetic dry-hop aromas of tropical mango, dark berry, and bright tangerine from Mosaic and Idaho 7 lead the charge, grounded by the dank, earthy pine of Columbus and the resinous, stone-fruit depth of Simcoe. Supported by a delicate, cracker-like malt backbone, the palate is effortlessly clean and dry. Low, clean, bready malt supports the hops, with a clean fermentation profile devoid of any yeast-derived esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward, bursting with bright tropical fruit flavors, dank resin, and grapefruit pith. The malt flavor is supportive but minimal, providing a clean, cracker-like canvas. Hop bitterness is moderate and beautifully balanced against the dry finish. No harshness or astringency is present; the aftertaste is crisp with lingering notes of pine and citrus peel.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body, reflecting the low alcohol content, but not watery. Carbonation is moderate to high, creating a crisp, lively spritz on the tongue. No alcohol warmth is present, yielding a very smooth finish.
