Appearance. Very dark brown to opaque black (SRM 35-40) with a dense, creamy, long-lasting tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring prominent milk chocolate and rich caramel. Low roasted grain notes suggesting coffee-and-cream are present, alongside a mild creamy sweetness and low dark fruit esters.
Taste. Initial impression is sweet and creamy with dominant flavors of caramel and milk chocolate. Moderate roasted grain provides a gentle coffee-like backbone without any harsh acridity. Low earthy hop flavor and moderate bitterness provide just enough counterpoint to the high residual sweetness. The finish is lingering and sweet, enhanced by a light savory salt character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a distinctly smooth, creamy texture derived from unfermented sugars. Carbonation is moderate, and alcohol warmth is very low, contributing to a high level of drinkability.
