Appearance. SRM 40+. Jet black and opaque. It forms a persistent, deep tan head with moderate retention. The high ABV and residual sugars create visible legs on the glass, indicating significant viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich roasted aromas of bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, and heavy-roast coffee. The Barton 1792 barrels contribute prominent notes of spicy rye, toasted oak, and a perceptible bourbon sweetness.
