Brew Toon Raspberry Dreamola Foam is a nostalgic Fruit Beer that captures the essence of a Scottish raspberry cream soda. A vibrant pink hue leads into an inviting aroma of freshly picked Scottish raspberries, underscored by a velvety sweetness from the addition of lactose. On the palate, the tartness of the red berries is beautifully rounded by a creamy, pillowy mouthfeel, reminiscent of a childhood float. The base malt remains supportive, providing a soft bready foundation that allows the fruit to shine without becoming cloying. It finishes with a harmonious balance of berry acidity and smooth, lingering vanilla-like sweetness.
Appearance. Vibrant deep pink to ruby-red with a slight natural haze. Features a thick, frothy, pink-tinted head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh, jammy raspberries dominates the nose. A distinct creamy, milky sweetness from lactose provides a vanilla-like backdrop. Low bready malt aroma is present, while hop character and esters are negligible to allow the fruit to lead.
Taste. An initial burst of tart Scottish raspberries is followed by a rich, sugary sweetness from the lactose. Very low hop bitterness serves only to balance the fruit acidity. The finish is medium-sweet and intensely fruity, with a lingering raspberry preserve aftertaste and a clean fermentation profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body enhanced significantly by unfermentable lactose, creating a smooth and creamy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle prickle that lifts the berry flavors. No alcohol warmth or astringency is perceived.
