This 10th Birthday Edition collaboration with Amundsen elevates the classic English Porter into a layered, festive experience. A foundation of bready and toasty malts provides a smooth canvas for indulgent deep chocolate notes, while zesty orange adds a bright, citrusy counterpoint. The addition of cinnamon introduces a subtle, warming spice that lingers on the palate. Despite the 6% ABV being slightly robust for the style, the beer maintains a medium body with a creamy texture, balancing rich cocoa sweetness with a restrained roast. It finishes with a harmonious blend of earthy undertones and festive spice, offering a sophisticated, dessert-like complexity.

Appearance. Dark brown with deep ruby highlights when held to the light. The beer is nearly opaque with a moderate, light tan head that shows good retention and leaves fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of dark chocolate and cocoa powder, complemented by a bright, fresh orange zest character. Warming cinnamon spice is prominent but well-integrated with a base of toasty and bready malt. Low earthy hop notes and moderate fruity esters reminiscent of dried plum.

Taste. Initial impression of sweet chocolate and zesty orange citrus. The mid-palate features toasted bread and caramel malt flavors. Cinnamon provides a distinct warming spice that carries into the finish. Bitterness is medium-low, providing a soft balance against the malt sweetness without any harsh or burnt roast character. Finishes slightly sweet with a lingering cocoa and spice aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle lift. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, and astringency is very low despite the addition of spices.
