Aroma. High intensity. Rich, deep aromas of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and molasses are complemented by strong esters of ripe red berries and dark fruit. Low resinous hop notes and a clean, warming alcohol presence add complexity.

Taste. Intense initial flavors of bittersweet cocoa and heavily roasted grain. The middle reveals layers of ripe red fruit, plums, and subtle licorice. High bitterness provides balance against the massive malt backbone. The finish is long and complex, characterized by lingering espresso, dark chocolate, and a smooth, vinous warmth.
