Brekeriet Lilac is a vibrant Straight Sour Beer that captures the essence of a Swedish spring. Brewed with fresh lilac flowers hand-picked in Skåne, it presents an enchanting floral perfume that intertwines with a sharp, clean lactic sourness. A foundation of crackery pale malts supports bright esters of lemon and tart green apple. The 6.5% ABV provides a subtle structure to the light, effervescent body, leading to a crisp, bone-dry finish. Appearance. Very pale straw (2-3 SRM). Slightly hazy with an effervescent character. Large, dense white head with moderate to poor retention, leaving light lacing.

Aroma. High intensity lactic sourness with a dominant, perfumed lilac floral character. Substantial fruity esters of lemon zest and tart apple are present. Malt is low, providing a clean crackery or bready background. No hop aroma or funk.

Taste. Sharp, clean lactic acidity immediately hits the palate, followed by a delicate, floral lilac flavor. Bready and grainy malt notes provide a slim but necessary backbone. Notes of lemon and green apple esters add complexity. Hop bitterness is undetectable. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering floral and tart citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light-bodied and highly carbonated, creating a prickly, refreshing sensation. Crisp acidity on the tongue with a very light alcohol warmth. No astringency.
