True Gold is an exceptionally approachable Blonde Ale that balances a lean malt profile with the vibrant aromatic complexity of Galaxy and Mosaic hops. It pours a brilliant gold, releasing a gentle bouquet where the tropical passionfruit of Galaxy intermingles with the subtle berry and citrus notes of Mosaic. A light malt backbone provides a clean, crackery foundation, ensuring the beer remains sessionable and crisp on the palate. With its restrained bitterness and refreshing finish, this ale is designed for high drinkability, making it an ideal companion for outdoor activities or a relaxing post-work pint.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a pale gold color (approximately 4 SRM). It features a moderate, frothy white head with fair to good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean, grainy-sweet malt character and hints of white bread. The hop aroma is modern but restrained, showcasing tropical fruit, blueberry, and light citrus from the Galaxy and Mosaic varieties. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.
Taste. An initial soft maltiness suggests fresh bread and light grain. Hop flavors of passionfruit and melon are present but well-integrated, supported by a low bitterness (18 IBUs) that keeps the balance toward the malt. The finish is clean and medium-dry, leaving a short, refreshing aftertaste without any harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. High carbonation provides a lively, effervescent mouthfeel. No perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
