This contemporary American IPA showcases a vibrant, fruit-forward hop profile balanced by a light, clean malt structure. The aroma is dominated by the tropical and berry-like qualities of Strata, Mosaic, and Azacca hops, delivering layered notes of mango, passionfruit, and blueberry. A strategic addition of Simcoe anchors the sensory profile with a classic resinous dankness and subtle pine. Built on an extremely lean malt bill, the palate is crisp and dry, allowing the hop complexity to remain front and center. Despite the moderate bitterness, the finish is refreshing and bright, epitomizing the evolving West Coast style.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a pale gold color (6–8 SRM). Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with fine bubbles and excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, melon, and candied citrus from the Mosaic and Azacca. Strata adds a strawberry-like berry sweetness, while Simcoe provides a background of damp earth and resinous pine. Malt is low, presenting as simple cracker or neutral grain. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus zest. Moderate hop bitterness is firm but well-integrated and never harsh. Flavors of mango and stone fruit are supported by a very low, bready malt presence. Simcoe contributes a classic West Coast dankness in the mid-palate. The finish is dry and clean with a lingering citrus and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
