This fresh-hop German Pils showcases a collaboration focused on brightness and botanical depth. The addition of fresh Santiam hops introduces a vibrant layering of soft floral, spice, and herbal notes that dance above a base of doughy, cracker-like malt. Despite its unfiltered nature, which adds a subtle softness to the visual profile, the beer remains exceptionally crisp and refreshing. The fermentation is impeccably clean, allowing the delicate, resinous qualities of the seasonal hops to shine through. It finishes bone-dry with a firm, lingering bitterness that invites another sip, perfectly capturing the essence of a modern, hop-forward lager.

Appearance. Straw to light yellow (2-3 SRM). Persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing. Slightly hazy rather than brilliant due to being unfiltered and fresh-hopped.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma featuring the distinct floral, peppery spice, and herbal qualities of fresh Santiam hops. Supported by low grainy-sweet, cracker-like malt. Clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial grainy malt flavor is quickly overtaken by assertive hop bitterness and flavors of spicy herbs and meadow flowers. High attenuation results in a very dry, crisp finish. Bitterness is firm and clean, lingering into the aftertaste with a touch of toasted cracker malt.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a refreshing, prickly sensation. No alcohol warmth. Smooth but crisp with a slight minerally snap.
