Bravata Porter presents a sophisticated take on the English Porter, enriched by a focused infusion of coffee. The experience begins with a deep, dark brown pour crowned by a resilient brown head. Aromatically, the beer leads with prominent notes of roasted malt and baker's chocolate, layered over a backdrop of toasted bread and biscuity malt. On the palate, a smooth melange of dark roast coffee and cocoa dominates, supported by a mild caramel sweetness. While rooted in tradition, the finish introduces a clean, firm bitterness from American hops, balancing the rich, roasted complexity and leaving a lingering, slightly dry impression of espresso.
Appearance. Deep dark brown to nearly black in color with ruby highlights; opaque in the glass. Displays a moderate, creamy brown head with fair to good retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent roasted malt character featuring dark chocolate and distinct coffee essences. Secondary notes of toasted bread, biscuit, and light caramel sweetness are present. Low earthy and slightly resinous hop notes emerge as it warms.
