This elegant Munich Dunkel showcases a harmonious marriage between traditional Bavarian malt depth and modern Australian hop character. Brewed with a foundation of rich Munich malt, it offers a sophisticated profile of toasted bread crusts and subtle chocolate. The unique addition of Galaxy hops via dip hopping introduces a delicate fruitiness that complements rather than overshadows the malt. Long summer lagering has yielded a remarkably smooth and crisp finish. At a sessionable 4.3% ABV, it balances the warmth of toasted grains with a refreshing, clean lager character, inviting repeated sips with its refined complexity and light tropical nuances.

Appearance. Deep copper to dark brown with a distinct garnet tint. Exhibits brilliant clarity and is crowned by a creamy, long-lasting, light tan head that leaves fine lacing (SRM 17–25).

Aroma. Moderate to high malt richness dominates, reminiscent of fresh-baked toasted bread crusts with hints of milk chocolate and hazelnuts. The dip-hopped Galaxy hops provide a subtle, fruity overlay of passionfruit and peach, which blends cleanly with the toasted grain. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no esters.

Taste. Initial impression is of rich, bready malt and toasted grains. Mid-palate reveals soft layers of caramel and cocoa. The hop flavor is low but present, offering a gentle tropical fruit edge from the Galaxy hops. Bitterness is restrained, leading to a medium-dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste is pleasantly malty and clean, free of any harsh roast or burnt grain character.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, slightly dextrinous texture that remains crisp and highly drinkable. Carbonation is moderate. The beer is notably smooth due to extended lagering, showing no alcohol warmth or astringency.
