Its syrupy, luscious texture provides a comforting sugar rush, balanced by the complex, vinous notes of long-term maturation. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). It produces a dense, creamy, deep tan head with moderate retention and visible legs upon swirling due to high viscosity and alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity with rich roasted malt notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Prominent Madagascar vanilla beans and bourbon barrel influence provide scents of charred oak, caramel, and marshmallow. Moderate dark fruit esters resembling raisins and prunes are present, alongside a clean, spirituous warmth.

Taste. Intense and complex initial impression of bittersweet chocolate, molasses, and toasted grain. The Madagascar vanilla and bourbon barrels contribute layers of oak, coconut, and rich caramel.
