This Double IPA showcases a vibrant sensory profile amplified by a triple dry hopping technique. The interplay of Cascade, Citra, and Mosaic hop varieties delivers a complex layers of aromatics and flavors. Expect punchy grapefruit and floral notes from the Cascade, while Citra contributes intense tropical fruit and citrus zest. Mosaic rounds out the profile with subtle stone fruit and berry nuances. At 8% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable with a lean malt profile that emphasizes hop character over sweetness. The result is a bold, modern ale that balances assertive bitterness with a clean, dry finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with good clarity, though a very faint haze from the triple dry hopping may be present. Topped by a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring prominent citrus, mango, and pineapple. Secondary notes of floral pine and resin are supported by a very low, neutral, grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of grapefruit, tropical fruit, and pine. Bitterness is moderately high but remains smooth and integrated without harshness. The malt character is low and clean, providing a soft backdrop for the hops. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, resinous, and hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is noticeable but refined and lacks any solvent-like character.
