Hello Hello is an expressive Double India Pale Ale that represents a refined sensory peak for Brasserie Jukebox. Utilizing London Fog yeast, the beer presents a signature silken haze that supports an explosive hop profile of Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin. The experience is defined by an intense wall of tropical fruit, vibrant citrus, and the distinctive white grape character typical of the Nelson Sauvin variety. Despite its 8% ABV, the heavy use of oats creates a dangerously smooth, plush foundation that allows the Mosaic and Citra dry-hop intensity to shine without harshness, finishing with a lingering, juice-like resonance.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (6-8 SRM) with a thick, creamy, persistent white head leaving heavy lacing. Opaque and hazy appearance consistent with the style and the use of high-protein grains.
Aroma. High intensity hop aromatics featuring prominent tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit), citrus zest (grapefruit, tangerine), and distinct notes of white wine grapes and crushed gooseberries. Background malt is neutral but sweet, reminiscent of raw grain and oats, with a clean fermentation profile showing very low fruity esters.
Taste. A bold initial impression of ripe tropical fruit and white grape juice. The malt flavor is supportive and soft, providing a grainy, bread-dough sweetness. Hop bitterness is firm but smooth, preventing the beer from being cloying. The mid-palate reveals layers of citrus peel and resin. The finish is medium-dry with a long, lingering hop-derived fruitiness and a clean, integrated alcohol presence.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, velvety texture from the heavy oat addition. Carbonation is moderate. No harsh hop-derived astringency is present, and there is a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth that reflects its 8% strength.
