Skummet på Schieve X-Mas er beige og tæt. Dens farve er kobber, med appetitlige røde højdepunkter.
Dens aroma giver straks en fin balance mellem malt og humle. På ganen finder du lækre smagsvarianter af karamel, kiks og budding, suppleret med noter af kandiserede frugter, mandarin, bitter appelsin og lakrids (alt dette uden at bruge et eneste gram krydderier eller frugter!).
Den har en smuk bitterhed, der bliver hængende i munden, med en tør og let finish. Øllet varmer, men ikke overdrevent sprudlende.
