Brasserie Chromatique Solaris
This Imperial Saison radiates with a sophisticated French touch, bridging the gap between a rustic Saison and a Belgian Tripel. The high alcohol content provides a welcoming, integrated warmth that underscores a vibrant sensory bouquet of citrus, pome fruit, and distinct black pepper spice. Aromatic continental hops lend an elegant floral and earthy backdrop to the profile. Despite its strength, the beer maintains signature high attenuation, ensuring a finish that is significantly more aromatic and less heavy than a traditional Triple. It presents a refined balance of grainy malt character and yeast-driven complexity, resulting in an elegant, highly effervescent experience.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange with a slight haze. Topped by a dense, rocky ivory head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves intricate Belgian lace.
Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of spicy black pepper phenols and fruity esters reminiscent of ripe pear and lemon zest. Moderate earthy and floral hop notes are present, backed by a light grainy malt sweetness and a clean, subtle alcohol warmth.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, grainy malt quickly transitions into a dry, spicy palate. Flavors of citrus peel and pome fruit harmonize with a moderate hop bitterness. The fermentation character is assertive but elegant, finishing very dry with a lingering spicy and floral aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with very high carbonation, creating an effervescent and lively texture. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, without any harshness or astringency.
