Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (SRM 8-10) with brilliant clarity. A dense, creamy off-white head provides excellent retention and leaves intricate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring prominent bready and toasted malt richness from the Pilsner malt. Distinctive elderflower notes provide a floral, perfumed character, complemented by light vinous esters and soft oak vanillin from the wine barrels. Low spicy fermentation phenols are present; hop aroma is negligible.
Taste. Initial bready malt sweetness transitions into a complex mid-palate of red grape skin and delicate elderflower. Low spicy hop bitterness provides a malty balance. The red wine barrel influence is subtle, adding a hint of dried fruit and wood character without significant acidity. Finishes medium-dry and clean with a lingering floral-malt aftertaste.
