This American IPA offers a bright, hop-forward sensory experience centered on a complex blend of five varieties. The addition of Cascade and Mosaic in the boil establishes a classic foundation of resinous pine and bittersweet grapefruit. Intensive dry-hopping with El Dorado, Summit, and Bru-1 layers on vibrant notes of ripe pineapple, tropical stone fruit, and zesty citrus. Supported by a clean, light grainy malt backbone, the aromatic intensity is high without being heavy. The finish is crisp and decidedly bitter, inviting another sip of this well-balanced ale that marries West Coast resinous tradition with modern tropical fruit character.
Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber (6–14 SRM). Clear with a persistent, off-white, medium-sized head that leaves consistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent grapefruit and citrus zest. Resinous pine notes from Cascade and Summit are complemented by pineapple and tropical stone fruit from Bru-1 and El Dorado. Low, clean, bready maltiness supports the hops. Fermentation is clean.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of grapefruit, pine, and pineapple dominate. Low grainy maltiness provides a clean background. Bitterness is medium-high to firm, leading into a dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste is hoppy and bitter with lingering citrus and resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp, refreshing bite. No harshness or significant alcohol warmth.
