BramBrass Black Sun is a formidable American Stout that pushes the boundaries of the style with its 12% ABV. This collaboration with Gistgeest presents a jet-black pour with a dense tan head. The sensory journey is led by a powerful roasted backbone of dark chocolate and espresso. This deep intensity is masterfully balanced by the late addition of Krush hops, which introduce unexpected fruity layers of stone fruit and tropical berries. The experience is exceptionally smooth, masking its strength with a creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel and a clean, lingering finish that highlights the intersection of modern hopping and traditional roast.
Appearance. SRM 40+. Jet black and completely opaque. Features a large, persistent, light brown head with significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity roast, dominated by bittersweet chocolate and dark roasted coffee beans. The Krush hops provide a distinct fruity aromatic layer of peach and passion fruit. Light alcohol sweetness is present without being sharp.
Taste. Massive roasted flavors of burnt chocolate and coffee. Low to medium malt sweetness provides a foundation for high hop bitterness.
