This Welsh IPA presents a commanding sensory profile that belies its approachable 5% ABV, living up to its legendary namesake. The use of soft mountain water from Dyffryn Nantlle provides a crisp, clean canvas for a complex blend of natural malts that impart a distinctive deep copper hue with a visible hint of red. The aroma is led by an assertive hop presence of resinous pine and bright citrus, supported by a subtle, toasted malt backbone. On the palate, a firm bitterness balances layers of caramel and bread crust, concluding in a clean, dry finish that emphasizes the beer's strength of character and heritage.

Appearance. Deep copper with distinct ruby-red highlights (14–18 SRM). Topped by a persistent, off-white to light tan head with moderate lacing. The clarity is generally clear with only a very slight, natural haze.

Aroma. Moderate to high hop intensity featuring notes of pine resin, grapefruit zest, and a touch of earthiness. The malt character is moderate, providing background scents of toasted bread, light caramel, and a subtle nuttiness. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters.
