Gone Bush is a lush Hazy IPA that marries the resinous, piney depths of Chinook with the vibrant southern hemisphere character of Rakau and Motueka. This 6.5% pour presents a pillowy, soft mouthfeel that carries intense layers of ripe apricot and peach from the Rakau, while Motueka contributes a distinct, zesty lime finish. The hop profile is framed by a neutral, grainy malt backbone, ensuring the focus remains on the saturated fruit notes. It strikes a modern balance, where high hop intensity meets a restrained, integrated bitterness for a smooth, refreshing experience.
Appearance. Straw to gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque with a characteristic hazy shine. Thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring stone fruit (apricot, peach), citrus (lime zest), and a subtle resinous pine. Malt is neutral and lightly bready in the background with no caramel; yeast esters are fruity and supportive.
