Doodlin' is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases an expressive hop profile led by Superdelic, HBC 586, and Nelson Sauvin. On the nose, intense aromas of candied red fruit and sweet tropical medleys transition into the distinctive gooseberry and crushed white grape notes characteristic of Nelson Sauvin. The appearance is a glowing straw-gold with a dense, opaque haze and a creamy white head. On the palate, the Superdelic provides a rich, jammy fruit foundation while HBC 586 adds layers of mango and guava. A soft, pillowy mouthfeel supports the low bitterness, finishing with a smooth, juicy aftertaste that emphasizes drinkability over resinous bite.
Appearance. 3-5 SRM; glowing straw to light gold. Opaque with a uniform, luminous haze and a ‘shine’ characteristic of the style. Large, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring candied berries, mango, and guava, complemented by vinous gooseberry and white grape. Background malt is neutral, bready, and grainy; no caramel or toast. Clean fermentation with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with sweet tropical punch and ripe stone fruit. Low bready malt flavor. Low to moderate bitterness that is soft and well-integrated, never sharp. Finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. No harshness or astringency. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
