This Triple IPA delivers a saturated sensory experience, showcasing an intense hop profile driven by massive additions of Strata, Peacharine, and Nelson. A thick, hazy deep-gold pour yields aromas of ripe nectarine, white wine, and resinous passionfruit. On the palate, the Mogwai house yeast amplifies stone fruit and citrus notes, supported by a dense, velvety body. Despite the 10% ABV, the alcohol is smoothly integrated, providing a gentle warmth that balances the complex floral and tropical fruit layers. The finish is long and resinous, leaving a lingering impression of saturated hop oils and soft malt sweetness.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-10 SRM). Opaque haze with a thick, persistent, creamy white head and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent passionfruit and dank resin from Strata, complemented by ripe peach and nectarine from Peacharine. Nelson contributes gooseberry and white wine notes. Fermentation esters are moderate to high, leaning toward tropical stone fruit.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit and citrus. Very high hop flavor mirrors the aroma with peach, passionfruit, and crushed grape. Bitterness is firm but smooth, providing balance to a soft, grainy malt backbone. The finish is lingering and fruity with a well-integrated alcohol sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Full body with a thick, lush, and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present without any harshness or astringency.
