Bracino Becerro is a decadent Sweet Stout that harmoniously blends the richness of a milk stout with the luxurious texture of oatmeal. Deeply dark and nearly opaque in the glass, it offers an inviting sensory profile defined by intense cacao and dark chocolate. The addition of lactose imparts a signature burnt milk sweetness, reminiscent of sweetened espresso, while the inclusion of oats creates a remarkably silky, velvet-like mouthfeel. Balanced yet indulgent, the beer navigates between roasted bitterness and creamy residual sweetness, providing a comforting experience akin to a liquid chocolate brownie or a sophisticated café con leche.
Appearance. Very dark brown to near black (35–40 SRM). Features a dense, persistent chocolate-brown foam head with excellent lacing; essentially opaque in the glass.
Aroma. High intensity of dark chocolate and cacao nibs. A distinct cream-like sweetness suggests scorched milk or sweetened condensed milk. Substantial grainy-sweet oat character is present, with very low fruity esters and no detectable hop aroma or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression of rich dark chocolate and bittersweet cocoa. The flavor is dominated by a medium-high sweetness from lactose, which provides a creamy counterpoint to the moderate roasted grain bitterness. Flavors of toasted oats and milk solids linger into a sweet, full finish. Low fruity esters are buried beneath the roast, with a clean fermentation profile and no hop flavor.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and creamy with a notably silky, luxurious texture derived from the oatmeal. Carbonation is moderate-low. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated; no roasted harshness or astringency.
