Brabante Trigo presents an exceptionally refreshing sensory profile defined by its light, velvety smoothness and classic Belgian character. This Witbier pours with a characteristic milky, pale straw hue, crowned by an impressively voluminous and compact white head. The aroma offers a delicate bouquet of bready, grainy wheat and honeyed malt, beautifully accented by zesty orange peel and peppery coriander. On the palate, it delivers a fantastic, generous development with vibrant citrus notes and subtle spice. The presence of yeast sediment adds a gentle creaminess, leading to a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes its effortless drinkability and elegant herbal nuances.
Appearance. Pale straw to deep yellow (2–4 SRM). Highly cloudy with a milky, whitish-yellow shine from suspended yeast and starch haze. Features a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a distinct bready maltiness and light notes of honey. Prominent grainy, spicy wheat aromatics are balanced by moderate zesty, citrusy-orange fruitiness and perfumy-lemony coriander. Very low earthy hop aroma in the background.
Taste. Initial impression is refreshing and crisp. Pleasant bready, grainy malt flavor with a hint of vanilla. Moderate orange-citrus fruitiness and subtle herbal-spicy notes including lemony coriander. Low hop bitterness (approx. 15 IBU) that supports the fruit without being harsh. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering spicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a characteristic velvety smoothness and light creaminess. High carbonation provides an effervescent, lively character. No alcohol warmth or astringency; overall very refreshing and smooth.
