This Belgian Tripel pours a luminous amber, a result of its extended secondary fermentation and bottle conditioning. The aroma is a complex tapestry of peppery phenols and bright citrus esters, reminiscent of orange peel and lemon zest, underpinned by a soft, honey-like malt sweetness. On the palate, a rich malt foundation provides a surprising depth that gives way to a firm, clean bitterness. The finish is remarkably dry and effervescent, concealing the potent 8.7% alcohol content behind a sophisticated balance of spicy yeast character and floral hop notes, making it both powerful and exceptionally drinkable for its strength.
Appearance. Pale amber (6-7 SRM) with excellent clarity; features a long-lasting, creamy, and rocky white head that leaves dense Belgian lacing as it recedes.
Aroma. High intensity bouquet of peppery and clove-like phenols balanced by moderate citrus esters of orange and lemon; includes a light, grainy-sweet malt scent with hints of honey and a soft floral hop background.
Taste. Initial impression of rich, rounded malt sweetness quickly evolves into a complex blend of spicy phenols and fruity esters; firm bitterness leads into a very dry, lingering, and aromatically spicy finish.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with an effervescent, highly carbonated texture; alcohol presence is deceptive, providing only a light, well-integrated warmth without being heavy or syrupy.
